SACS ACCREDITATION UPDATE (11/10/2010)
Since Fall 2009, the Catholic diocese of Savannah has been working to obtain district accreditation through SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools). The district accreditation will include all of the elementary and high schools throughout our diocese eliminating the need for each school to repeat the process every 5 years.
As we near the end of our study phase, the visiting team and visitation dates have been decided. Very much like the FCC accreditation visit SFCCS experienced 2 years ago, the SACS visiting team will visit select schools throughout the diocese.
St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School has been chosen as a school to be visited on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Our visit will begin at approximately 12:30 PM.
While the visiting team is on campus, they will meet with representative groups of parents, students, faculty, and the administration. In the weeks to follow, a form will be sent home for you to indicate your interest and availability in participating in the parent interview portion.
Please be mindful that we will most likely have an orientation session one evening before the interview to inform participants of the protocol for these types of interviews and what participants can expect.
